Can you tell everyone a bit about yourself?
I am a Chartered Surveyor with a background in commercial property and social entrepreneurship. Having established my first company MAJR Group, I sought to bring together my business experience and company services under a new brand with a strong social and innovative focus. As a passionate Dundonian, I was keen to develop a company that could be readily scaled from my home city whilst having a global outlook in terms of its potential impact. From this, the OOVIRT brand and vision was born, and my goal is to continue to promote accessibility and the benefits of VR to an international market.
What is your current role?
I oversee the business strategy and implementation of the growth and investment programme whilst inputting daily to the creative processes behind the OOVIRT team.

The role is ultimately highly varied as new projects are developed and taken on. I always seek to create a flexible and positive working environment whilst ensuring the customer remains at the heart of decisions.

What are your ambitions and passions?
I was keen to explore the proptech sector and I spent several years researching various products and services before committing to virtual reality as my chosen business pathway. As my older business had delivered customer service training, I felt it a natural fit that the technology be used to create inclusive customer experiences and truly help people by providing clear and transparent guides to locations.

My natural passion for helping others and providing opportunities means the new OOVIRT business is a perfect fit with what I would like to achieve.

What are your interests?
I am a huge sports fan and avid follower of my local team, Dundee United and also Manchester United, whilst away from the office I enjoy playing golf, skiing and the occasional tennis game. I can often be found in my second home, otherwise known as the gym, where I enjoy fitness and weight training.

Away from sports, I enjoy travelling, spending time with friends and family or relaxing with a good movie. I am involved with a number of local and national charities and business groups, always with one eye on how they can help assist the people of Dundee.

What is a random fact about you?
I enjoy playing some terrible guitar and singing in a room where nobody has to suffer listening! My favourite food is steak, ideally accompanied with a nice glass of Rioja.

I graduated from the University of Dundee in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Applied Computing. During my studies the field that I had a great interest in was web development however since graduating I have also become very interested in accessibility. I was born with Congenital Muscular Dystrophy and since the age of 3 I have used a wheelchair 24/7. Due to my disability I have always come across problems regarding accessibility, which is why it’s such a passion for me.
